Spent the long weekend with some good time in the kitchen. Mostly, we cooked to have meals throughout the week, but there were a couple special foods in the mix too. Matt used my mom’s recipe to make English toffee, which was amazing. So good, and good for you. 🙂 I find that a good meal is the best way to start the week and tonight’s was no exception. It sounds simple, but was pure comfort food on a winter day like today: lentil soup and cornbread. And leftovers!
